After incidents in Cañete: Undersecretary Monsalve resumes agenda in Biobío and meets with productive guilds
After his visit to Cañete, Biobío region, was interrupted on Tuesday due to protests and roadblocks, Monsalve decided to continue his work agenda by moving to the commune of Los Álamos to establish a dialogue table with regional authorities and representatives from commerce, tourism, and timber guilds.
Following the roadblock that interrupted the journey of Undersecretary of the Interior Manuel Monsalve and his delegation during an official visit to Cañete, Biobío region, the authority had to withdraw from the area and suspend his planned agenda.
However, after the incident, the undersecretary resumed his activities, traveling to the commune of Los Álamos to hold a meeting with productive guilds of the Arauco province, accompanied by regional presidential delegate Daniela Dresdner and Governor Rodrigo Díaz.
In detail, the Undersecretariat of the Interior reported that attendees included representatives from the Lago Lanalhue Tourism Chamber, Ernesto Cienfuegos; the Contulmo Commerce Chamber, Sandra Fierro; the Contulmo Tourism Chamber, Marcelo Moris; the Tirúa Commerce and Tourism Chamber, Basilio Millanao; Acoforag (Forestry Contractors Association), René Muñoz; Pymemad (Timber Industrialists), Michelle Esquerre; the Cañete Commerce Chamber, Juan Alfaro; and the Cañete Commerce and Transport Chamber, Gustavo Jara.
On March 26, Monsalve held a similar meeting with productive guilds in La Araucanía, alongside various representatives, as well as Governor Luciano Rivas and acting presidential delegate Leandro Reyes.
