Contractors partially block Route 160 after series of attacks in Arauco province

Forestry contractors are mobilizing on Route 160 in the Arauco province following a series of attacks on trucks in the area.
Specifically, protesters are partially blocking the Los Ríos sector in the Los Álamos commune, as well as the La Mano sector in Curanilahue.
This comes due to the insecurity faced by residents and workers in these areas after the weekend attacks. Additionally, last Thursday, the Mapuche Lafkenche Resistance burned more than 30 trucks.
Meanwhile, forestry workers in the Horcones area of the Arauco commune are joining the mobilizations.
Over the weekend, forestry workers from Arauco province, Los Ángeles, and forestry contractors declared a state of mobilization due to the violent incidents.
According to a statement they issued, 17 attacks were recorded in 30 days during April.
