Highlighting the Contribution of the Forestry Sector to Chile's Circular Bioeconomy
The president of the Chilean Biomass Association, Rodrigo O’Ryan Blaitt, published this month in theChilean Forestry Contractors Magazine{{TEXT_3}}
In light of the above statement, O’Ryan Blaitt calls, in his text, for the application of "the bioeconomy (,which) encompasses the production of renewable biological sources and the conversion of these resources and waste into value-added products such as food, feed, bioproducts, and bioenergy."
Among the ways to achieve the steps toward these concepts, the president of Achbiom mentioned "initiatives like 'Red Futuro Madera,' led by the main forestry associations in Chile, as well as the work of the 'Senate's Future Commission,' called 'Sustainable Forestry Future,' carried out by a multisectoral commission of experts, academia, NGOs, and the community, (which) precisely aim at the development of this Bioeconomy, with a deep social component focused on territorial development."
