Arson attack destroyed the home of a property caretaker in Los Sauces

An arson attack was reported early this morning in the Vega Larga sector, on the route connecting Los Sauces with Lumaco, in the La Araucanía Region, where the fire destroyed the home of the property caretaker and a shed.
According to police reports, the incident occurred at 03:30 hours when a group of five hooded individuals entered the property, owned by Ignacio Gallegos Pereira, and began the attack, which resulted in no injuries.
Major Fernando Mella of the Carabineros Malleco Prefecture stated that they were alerted via phone call and specified that the individuals "burned a private residence of the (property's) caretaker and a shed, as well as machinery from the same location."
The Public Ministry instructed OS9 and Labocar to carry out the investigative procedures.
