Four people arrested for wood theft in Curanilahue: one was carrying a blank pistol
An operation for wood theft resulted in four people being arrested in Curanilahue, Arauco province,Bío Bío region.
This was reported by Major Robert Moraga of the Fourth Police Station in that commune, adding that the crime took place on a property owned by Forestal Arauco located in the Los Ríos sector along Route P-48.
The officers noticed that one of the individuals was carrying a blank pistol, which was confiscated.
"Personnel from Forestal Arauco called Carabineros. Our team quickly arrived to verify the operation, managing to arrest four people in the Los Ríos property sector. As a result of this incident, it was confirmed that one of the detainees was carrying a blank pistol, which was also seized," he said.
The detainees were identified by their initials: C.S.A.G., 53 years old; J.O.V.V., 49; P.F.R., 63; and E.R.S.R., 44 years old.
All were placed at the disposal of the Curanilahue Guarantee Court.
