Immediate reactions followed the series of violent incidents, particularly arson attacks, that have been recorded in the La Araucanía region. Governor Luciano Rivas directly pointed to the lack of intelligence to anticipate these situations, which are causing fear among the population.

Meanwhile, the Diocese of Temuco lamented the destruction of a second chapel in Victoria in less than two weeks.

The governor of La Araucanía, Luciano Rivas, stated that while they understand they cannot have military personnel on every kilometer, "there is something failing here, and it's intelligence, the ability to anticipate these attacks."

Similarly, he asserted that "the authority granted to both the Chief of Defense and the police is primarily focused on protection, and they arrive after the attacks have already occurred. Here, we need more intelligence," criticized the official.

For his part, Miguel Mellado (RN) blamed the attacks on the Mapuche community of Temucuicui and urged the Government to declare a State of Siege in Ercilla so that forces can enter the community.

The former regional governor of La Araucanía and current deputy for Amarillos, Andrés Jouannet, emphasized that the Government and the State must act to prevent violent incidents.

Regarding the violent events, the administrator of the Diocese of Temuco, Father Juan Andrés Basly Erices, expressed in a statement his regret that a fire destroyed the Sagrado Corazón de Jesús chapel, located in the Amaza sector and belonging to the San Francisco de Asís parish in Selva Oscura—a community that has suffered the destruction of another chapel within a week.
