Kim Connors, Executive Director of the Canadian Interagency Forest Fire Centre (CIFFC), and Dave Bokovay, Operations Director of the same agency, were received this Wednesday by the Executive Director of the National Forestry Corporation (Conaf), Christian Little.

Thus, their intention is to learn about the corporation's work in aerial and ground operations, prevention programs, logistics, and research and development efforts.

The latter, especially after the summer wildfires in the central and southern regions.

According to Conaf's figures, that emergency resulted in 6,100 fires and a total of 415 thousand hectares burned.

Connors, Bokovay, and Nolasco will also visit brigade bases in the Metropolitan and Valparaíso regions.
