Three new violent incidents were recorded in the early hours of this Monday in different parts of La Araucanía, where banners opposing the Naín-Retamal law were left at both scenes.

The first incident occurred on Route 5 South, near the Metrenco Sanctuary, where unidentified individuals burned some "New Jersey"-type road barriers, blocking traffic and leaving a banner that read "No to the Naín-Retamal Law."

Drivers reported the incident to Carabineros, and traffic was quickly restored without any arrests or injuries reported.

LAUTARO
Later, around 3 a.m., Carabineros in Lautaro received reports from residents stating that a group of armed, hooded individuals arrived firing shots until the end of Baquedano Street, corresponding to kilometer 1 of the road connecting the commune with Vilcún, near the Peu Peu Bridge and just blocks from the urban area.

As of the closing of this report, no injuries had been recorded, and two excavators were damaged. Before fleeing, the hooded individuals left a banner that read "Against their laws," signed by the Mapuche National Liberation organization.

Alongside Carabineros, Lautaro Firefighters also responded to extinguish the fire, and the Public Ministry assigned the investigation to the PDI.

VICTORIA
While police and firefighters were still responding to the arson attack in Lautaro, a new emergency was reported, this time in Victoria.

Carabineros and firefighters had to move to the area of the Alicopsa company, on the road from Victoria to Traiguén, where fires were reported in at least two trucks.

As of the closing of this report, emergency personnel were working at the scene, and more precise details about the damages were expected during daylight hours.

Additionally, residents in the area reported hearing gunshots shortly before the incident.

TOLTÉN
Last Thursday, on the road connecting Toltén with Pitrufquén, hooded individuals also arrived firing shots and burned machinery used for road paving. There, they also left banners demanding the release of so-called "Mapuche political prisoners," one of whom was mentioned as being imprisoned for the murder of Carabinero Corporal Eugenio Naín—a crime that helped motivate the approval of the law protecting the roles of Carabineros, the Investigative Police, and the Prison Guard, as well as the maritime and civil aeronautics police.
