A new arson attack was carried out this Wednesday morning by a group of hooded individuals in the La Araucanía Region.

This comes as the opposition insists on implementing a state of siege to address the acts of violence,an idea the government has dismissedwith the argument that the tools associated with the constitutional state of emergency exception in place for a year "are sufficient" for the State's duties in the area.

In Angol, around 8:00 a.m., five armed individuals stormed the Fundo San Luis del Fortín on Route R-334 and intimidated the drivers of three vehicles working on the property.

The attackers burned two machines with trailers and another truck with a self-loading mechanism, leaving them completely destroyed.

No workers were injured in the incident.

Colonel Patricio Martínez Schade, Carabineros prefect of Malleco, reported that a "multidisciplinary team" from the uniformed police was assigned by the Public Prosecutor's Office to conduct forensic examinations at the scene.
