Fire affects forestry truck in the commune of Los Lagos: witnesses claim there were hooded individuals

The driver of a forestry truck was approached by 7 hooded individuals on the afternoon of Thursday, May 18, in the commune of Los Lagos, region ofLos Ríos. The unknown assailants intimidated the driver with long weapons and set the vehicle on fire.

Due to the incident, firefighters and local Carabineros personnel arrived at the scene to provide assistance and carry out necessary procedures.

It was reported that the victim was unharmed, but the truck was completely destroyed. The individuals also left a banner from the Arauco-Malleco Coordinator (CAM).

Regarding this, the Local Prosecutor's Office of Los Lagos initiated an investigation into the case. Prosecutor Claudia Baeza ordered the involvement of the Special Police Investigations Brigade (BIPE) and the Criminalistics Laboratory (Lacrim).

This is to determine the circumstances under which the incident occurred and to identify those responsible. Meanwhile, local residents also reported seeing hooded individuals in the area minutes before the attack.
