Arson attack in Los Ríos: subjects intimidated guards, set fire to machinery and a truck

An arson attack was reported on Saturday night in the commune of Mariquina, in theLos Ríos region.
The incident occurred around 10:00 p.m. at the Cuyinhue estate, owned by theforestry company Anchile.
According to information from thePublic Prosecutor's Office, four armed individuals arrived at the scene, threatened three security guards, and then set fire to four machines.
Additionally, "they stole a company truck and forced two workers to get in, abandoning them 14 kilometers away," said deputy prosecutor Carlos Silva.
Later, "they proceeded to burn the company truck near the location," as detailed by the prosecutor.
As a result of the attack, one of the guards suffered minor injuries, while the others were unharmed.
Finally, the subjects fled, and their identities and whereabouts remain unknown at this time.
The Prosecutor's Office instructed theInvestigative Police(PDI) to conduct inquiries to determine the detailed circumstances of the events and carry out forensic examinations to identify those responsible for the attack.
