Three homes consumed and a vehicle destroyed in new arson attack in Victoria

A new arson attack was reported during the day this Sunday in the commune of Victoria, La Araucanía region.

According to preliminary information, an undetermined group of armed, hooded individuals arrived at the location, threatening three families of small landowners, as well as a widow and other acquaintances who were inside the homes.

After this, they proceeded to set fire to the three properties and a pickup truck, leaving behind a banner signed by the Mapuche Malleco Resistance group.

Subsequently, the individuals stole another vehicle from the property, which they used to flee.

This vehicle is equipped with a GPS system and was located within the Mapuche community of Temucuicui in Ercilla.

So far, no arrests have been reported in connection with this new arson attack recorded in the commune of Victoria.
