Excavator set on fire inside property located on route connecting Cunco and Melipeuco

An excavator was set on fire inside a property located on the route connecting the towns of Cunco and Melipeuco, in theLa Araucanía region.

The machine was located at the San Lorenzo Estate, where cleanup work was being carried out for a forestry operation.

Due to the incident, personnel from the Melipeuco and Cunco Fire Departments arrived at the scene to control the fire. However, the -costly- excavator was left unusable.

So far, no clues have been found at the scene -such as any banners or related signs- that could help determine who was responsible for this act.

Personnel fromCarabinerosare gathering initial information to identify those responsible for this fire, which left an excavator damaged.

Finally, it is expected that details about this incident will be revealed tomorrow, Monday, helping to clarify what happened.
