"They set it on fire": Fire destroys school in Victoria, neighbors claim it was intentional

The Bollilco School in Victoria, La Araucanía region, was completely destroyed by a fire, located alongside the route connecting the commune with Curacautín.

According to neighbors, the incident is believed to have been intentional.

The school is situated within the Mapuche Sánchez community.

Volunteers from the Victoria and Pailahueque Fire Departments worked to extinguish the flames.

A neighbor and auditor for Radio Bío Bío sent an audio message lamenting the fire. "These despicable people set it on fire," the neighbor emphasized.

Following the publication of this incident, the Mapuche Malleco Resistance group claimed responsibility for the school's destruction.
