Arson attack in Cañete leaves truck driver injured by gunshot

A new arson attack was reported this Wednesday in the southern macrozone, this time in the town of Cañete, Biobío region, leaving one person injured.

According to preliminary information, the incident occurred on Route P 72-S, at the Collico intersection, approximately twenty-five thousand kilometers south of the commune's urban area.

At the scene, armed and hooded individuals attacked a truck, shooting the driver, who was transported to the Kallvu Llanka Intercultural Hospital in Cañete.

Personnel from the Public Order Control (COP) unit of Carabineros and the 4th Fire Company arrived at the area.
