Arson attack in Collipulli: Four trucks burned

This Thursday, a new arson attack recorded in the La Araucanía Region left four trucks burned in the rural area of San Andrés in the commune of Collipulli.
"Unknown individuals—with their faces covered—proceeded to intimidate three truck drivers on Route R35, kilometer 25, ordering them to exit their vehicles and subsequently setting the trucks on fire," detailed Commander César Leiva of the Malleco Prefecture.
The Labocar and Carabineros' OS-9 were put in charge of investigating this case, which resulted in no injuries and, so far, no arrests.

The president of the Association of Forestry Contractors, René Muñoz, stated that in La Araucanía, "the police and armed forces are overwhelmed; they are not having a real effect in controlling this problem of destruction and violence."
"The productive sectors are being the most affected, and that undoubtedly leads to less development and less progress in the area. It will continue to worsen if no action is taken," he warned.
