In a concerning episode of violence, the town of Teodoro Schmidt was the scene of an arson attack that left two pieces of machinery and three pickup trucks completely destroyed. The incident, which occurred this Tuesday inside the Budi estate, mobilized Carabineros and Firefighters to control the situation and conduct relevant investigations.

The fire, which broke out in the morning hours, was fought by firefighters who promptly arrived at the scene to prevent the flames from spreading. Fortunately, no personal injuries have been reported, but the extent of the material damage is considerable.

Witnesses near the Budi estate reported hearing gunshots, adding a layer of complexity and danger to the incident. Carabineros established a security perimeter and are gathering information to identify those responsible for this criminal act.

This attack in Teodoro Schmidt follows another similar incident that occurred early in the morning in the town of Lebu, Biobío Region, where unknown individuals set fire to four pieces of machinery on a property owned by the forestry company Comaco. In addition to material damage, the theft of machinery components and the outbreak of a forest fire as a result of the arson were reported.

Authorities expressed concern over the recurrence of these attacks in the Southern Macrozone and are working together to reinforce security and prevent future incidents. The local community is on high alert and hopes effective measures will be taken to ensure peace and security in the region.
