The mobile command post is designed with an advanced telecommunications system and Ultra HD screens, making it a true extension of a central operations center.

The first mobile command post for CONAF in Ñuble was presented by Governor Óscar Crisóstomo and the regional director of the institution, Juan Salvador Ramírez. The vehicle features cutting-edge technology, an advanced telecommunications system, Ultra HD screens, and operational autonomy through solar energy. The investment, made by the Ñuble Regional Government, amounts to $657 million, which also includes two specialized pickup trucks.

Prevention and emergency management has been one of the areas where the Regional Government has focused efforts and resources. For this reason, Governor Crisóstomo stated, "We are presenting CONAF's new equipment to work in a critical area like wildfires. This represents an investment of over $650 million, which has allowed us to acquire two state-of-the-art 4×4 pickup trucks and, most importantly, a command post that Ñuble previously lacked."

Crisóstomo further explained, "This command post is fully autonomous and can be deployed in any location. It captures various environmental data, enabling timely decision-making, making it a crucial acquisition for Ñuble. With this, we take another step in our overall investment plan for emergencies in our region." He also emphasized, "The Regional Government is working to strengthen institutions, and CONAF is undoubtedly key in wildfire response."

Juan Salvador Ramírez noted, "The Regional Government has allocated $657 million for prevention and firefighting tools. This command and telecommunications post is autonomous—meaning during a wildfire, it can operate using both generators and solar panels, allowing it to reach any point in the region. Previously, we relied solely on local internet signals for coordination." He added that the post "will provide real-time information, such as weather conditions and fire spread projections, improving coordination and planning for firefighting teams and telecommunications units."

Cutting-Edge Technology and Autonomy

The mobile command post is designed with an advanced telecommunications system and Ultra HD screens, making it a true extension of a central operations center. Its technology enables efficient communication among emergency units and real-time data transmission for informed and swift decision-making.

Additionally, its optimized design and 4WD traction system allow easy deployment in hard-to-reach areas, ensuring functionality in rural communities. It also includes a solar power generation system for autonomous operation. The cost of this command post amounts to $367 million.
