Illegal Logging Reported in Hualpén Nature Sanctuary: Municipality to File Complaint with Prosecutor's Office

The Municipality of Hualpén filed a complaint with Carabineros regarding illegal tree logging recorded on Saturday morning in the commune's Nature Sanctuary.
According to the municipal office, images captured by Municipal Security teams show that the suspects were moving in a three-quarter-ton truck with the chopped wood.
The entity was alerted to the situation through a call to the unified emergency center, and after gathering the details, they filed the complaint at the Fourth Police Station of Hualpén.

In another development, the municipality reported that the three-quarter-ton truck fled toward the commune of Talcahuano.
Regarding the felled trees, the specimens were large in size. One was completely chopped up, and the criminals were cutting a second tree when they apparently fled into the vehicle with the stolen wood.
