La Araucanía: Arson attack leaves eight vehicles destroyed in rural area of Nueva Imperial

At least six trucks, a pickup truck, and a forestry skidder machine were destroyed in an arson attackin the rural area of the commune of Nueva Imperial,La Araucanía region.
The incident occurred specifically near the town of Almagro and from there,along the route leading to the town of Barros Arana.
Personnel from the Public Order Zone of Carabineros operated at the scene,securing the area to allow Firefighters to work.
According to Radio Bío Bío in Temuco,military personnel under the command of the head of National Defensefor the State of Exception in effect in La Araucanía, General Ricardo Duarte, worked at the site.
Patrols were also conductedaround the area of the attack, both on the ground and by air.
In this regard, the radio station reported that at least seven individuals, armed with weapons,intimidated the workers at the site.
Finally, the arrival of the Investigative Police to the scene is awaited to continue with the proceedings.
