CAM Claims Responsibility for Arson Attack in Imperial Amid Criticism from Forestry Contractors

The Arauco Malleco Coordinator (CAM) claimed responsibility for the arson attack recorded at a worksite in the commune of Imperial, in the coastal area of La Araucanía.
The Association of Forestry Contractors stated that there is no political will to confront the radical groups operating in the southern part of the country.

An attack condemned by the Association of Forestry Contractors. Its manager, René Muñoz, said that the State of Constitutional Exception has not yielded results, stating that political will is needed to confront the radical organizations operating in the area.
He also mentioned that these groups are constantly moving through the south of the country, suggesting that military protection should be extended to the regions of Los Ríos and Los Lagos.
On the other hand, lawmakers from La Araucanía urged the new Undersecretary of the Interior, Luis Cordero, to clarify the plan to address these incidents, as stated by UDI representative Henry Leal.
