A Forestal Arauco brigade working to extinguish a fire in Curanilahue, in the Bío Bío region, was assaulted and threatened by an armed, hooded individual.
According to preliminary information, this occurred in the early morning, around 02:30 hours, in the Los Ríos Reserve, near the urban area of the commune, when an individual approached the brigade members and threatened them with a firearm.
Through intimidation, he demanded they leave the area and stole a chainsaw from them.
Following the incident, the personnel reported what happened to Forestal Arauco's operations chief.
The company filed the corresponding complaint with the Curanilahue Carabineros.
