Disappearance of Forests in Chile: A Brief Journey Through Time
The forests of Chile have undergone a drastic transformation over more than five centuries, even before the arrival of Pedro de Valdivia in 1541, and today, in some places, this process of alteration continues, according to Roberto Ipinza, a forestry engineer from the University of Chile, researcher at the Forestry Institute, and president of the College of Forestry Engineers of the Los Ríos Region.
