  • A constant concern due to the attacks taking place in the so-called Southern Macro Zone, primarily in the province of Malleco.

Forestry business owners in La Araucanía are seeking safety measures for their workers due to the insecurity in the so-called red zone.

Workers in the forestry sector in La Araucanía face constant concern due to the attacks occurring in the so-called Southern Macro Zone, mainly in the province of Malleco.

During her visit to the region, Labor Minister Jeannette Jara confirmed that—following a presentation by forestry business owners to international organizations—they are working together to implement safety measures aimed at protecting employees from the dangers posed by attacks in the region.

The Regional Presidential Delegate, José Montalva, stated that he is aware of this situation and that they are coordinating efforts to establish greater security for workers in this sector.

Meanwhile, the minister also mentioned that they met with union leaders from the forestry sector in La Araucanía to address the insecurity they face in their daily lives.
