Acoforag Argues That Permanent Insecurity and Violence Are the Norm in the Southern Macrozone
Yesterday, July 22, 2024, the Association of Forestry Contractors A.G. participated in the Agriculture Committee of the Chamber of Deputies to analyze the crisis in the forestry sector.
The most relevant point we presented as a guild to the attending lawmakers was the State's inability to resolve the permanent state of insecurity that has affected us for 27 years.
Today, the Los Ángeles Court acquitted five individuals accused of an arson attack in the Biobío province.
As a guild, we are neither surprised nor alarmed by the ruling, as to date we have recorded 489 attacks in 11 years, with only 3 resulting in convictions.
From this, we can conclude that permanent insecurity and violence are the norm in the Southern Macrozone, reflecting the State's overall inability to find a definitive solution to the conflict.
