Violent assault in Lautaro: Masked attackers strike and burn property

In an act of violence that has shaken the community of Lautaro, a group of masked criminals carried out an armed robbery on Wednesday night, resulting in assaults on the residents of a home and the destruction of two sheds by fire.

The incident, which occurred in the Dollico Bajo sector around 9:30 p.m., is being investigated by Carabineros, who are working to locate the perpetrators.

According to preliminary reports, the assailants entered the home armed, intimidating and attacking the family members present. During the violent encounter, two adults were injured, though it has been confirmed that their lives are not in danger.

After stealing various items from the house, the attackers proceeded to set fire to two sheds, one of which contained a backhoe that was completely destroyed by the flames. The family’s pickup truck was also stolen by the criminals, who fled in the stolen vehicle.

Public Order Control personnel arrived at the scene to conduct initial investigations and search efforts. So far, no messages or banners have been found that would link the attack to a specific group or cause.
