Prosecutor's Office and Police Coordinate Actions Due to High Risk of Forest Fires in Ñuble from High Temperatures

The Chief Prosecutor of Criminal Analysis and Investigative Focuses of Ñuble, and preferred prosecutor for forest fires, Rolando Canahuate Ronda, met with the teams from Carabineros and the PDI in charge of these types of incidents, in order to coordinate work in this area during this season of higher occurrence.
Among other topics, the connections with both police forces and the investigative resources they have for the criminal prosecution of these types of crimes were reviewed.
Additionally, actions were coordinated for this weekend in particular, due to the alert for the risk of forest fire occurrence, resulting from the high temperatures expected in these days, as well as strong winds.
In fact, the National Forestry Corporation (Conaf) restricted the use of fire in agricultural and forestry activities within the Ñuble Region, due to meteorological conditions and the decrease in the fine dead fuel moisture index to less than 8%.
