In a violent incident recorded this Friday, a truck belonging to the security personnel of a forestry company was completely destroyed following an arson attack on the "La Invernada" property in Collipulli, La Araucanía region.

The event occurred in the Mininco sector, on Route R-23, where two armed individuals intimidated the vehicle's occupants and stole security equipment, including a drone, before setting the vehicle on fire and fleeing.

Colonel Aldo Vittini of Carabineros reported that the workers, who provide services to the company CMPC, contacted the communications center of the Malleco Prefecture immediately after the attack. Police authorities have launched an operation to locate those responsible for the attack.

The Regional Minister of Security of La Araucanía, Israel Campusano, indicated that the incident is being investigated by the Public Ministry and the Investigative Police (PDI), emphasizing the need for rigorous analysis and avoiding hasty conclusions. Campusano highlighted the Government's efforts to strengthen security in the region, including police presence and collaboration with companies and local communities, which has contributed to the reduction of violence in most of the territory.

Despite the current electoral context, Campusano called for acting responsibly and allowing institutions to determine whether this attack is linked to other incidents or if it is an isolated event. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the State's prompt response to the incident was highlighted.

The attack in Collipulli serves as a reminder of the security challenges facing the La Araucanía region and the importance of investigation and justice to prevent future incidents and ensure the safety of its inhabitants and workers.
