Arson Attack in La Araucanía Leaves 3 Forestry Trucks Destroyed

A serious incident shook the tranquility of the commune of Nueva Imperial, in the La Araucanía region. Three trucks belonging to the forestry company Probosque were victims of an arson attack that left them completely destroyed. The event has mobilized a significant number of officers from the Carabineros' Public Order Control unit (COP) to the Peleco sector, in an effort to restore order and find those responsible for the attack.

According to initial reports provided to Radio Bío Bío, the vehicles were parked when they were caught by flames. The swift action of the Nueva Imperial firefighters was crucial in controlling the fire and preventing it from spreading to surrounding areas. Despite their efforts, the trucks were rendered irrecoverable.

The local prosecutor's office has taken action, instructing forensic examinations by the Carabineros Criminalistics Laboratory (Labocar) and the specialized OS-9 section. These procedures aim to gather technical and scientific evidence that could lead to the identification and capture of the perpetrators of the attack.

So far, no banners or messages have been found that could attribute the authorship of the act to any particular group. The absence of these elements has added a veil of mystery over the motivations behind the attack and has complicated the investigation efforts.
