Violent Robbery Targets Forestry Contractors' Truck in Collipulli Property

An armed robbery of a truck affected forestry contractors on a property in the commune of Collipulli, in the La Araucanía region.

In this context, the perpetrators managed to steal the vehicle accompanying a truck that was transporting heavy machinery.

The attack marks the sixth incident affecting them this year, and according to René Muñoz, manager of the Association of Forestry Contractors (Acoforag), it occurred when a truck loaded with a motor grader was traveling through the Jauja estate of Forestal Mininco, located approximately 50 kilometers east of Collipulli.

"A low-bed truck transporting a motor grader for road repairs was attacked at that location, but the driver's quick reaction prevented the crime from being completed. However, the supervisor's truck was stolen," the leader detailed.

As a result, the attack was recorded by security cameras installed in the area, footage now in the hands of the police.

This serves as the primary input for the forensic investigations ordered by the First Proceedings Prosecutor of the Public Ministry.

It should be noted that there were no injuries in this incident, despite the aggressiveness of the assailants, who acted with their faces covered and carrying firearms.
