Operations on steep terrains represent one of the biggest challenges for safety and productivity in the forestry industry. Now, with the new Tigercat 120 assist winch, Latin Equipment Chile SpA introduces a cutting-edge solution that redefines standards in protection and operational efficiency.

Efficiency and safety

Carlos Daniel Vera Troncoso, Sales Manager at Latin Equipment Chile SpA, highlights that the Tigercat 120 features a highly reliable antenna communication system, enabling efficient connection between the winch and the assisted equipment. Additionally, its remote control optimizes equipment movement and positioning, facilitating operation in highly complex terrains.

One of the most innovative advancements of this model is its automatic speed and tension control system, which intelligently adjusts to the terrain without manual intervention. Thanks to the CAN system, the winch and assisted equipment work in sync, ensuring greater precision in speed and pulling capacity. This not only optimizes performance but also minimizes the risk of skidding or slipping, significantly enhancing operational safety.

Real-time monitoring

The Tigercat 120 incorporates the RemoteLog telemetry system, allowing operators to access key metrics such as real-time location, productivity, fuel consumption, and safety alerts. This technology enables constant monitoring of equipment performance, anticipating potential incidents and optimizing work planning.

Weighing 36 tons and with over 600 meters of 28.5-inch cable reach, the Tigercat 120 ensures stability even in the most extreme conditions. Its maximum speed of 9 km/h and grooved drum design guarantee precise cable spooling, preventing operational issues. Additionally, it is equipped with an Amerex fire suppression system, reinforcing safety in case of emergencies.

Proven results

To maximize equipment performance and safety, operators receive theoretical and hands-on field training. According to Vera Troncoso, the introduction of the Tigercat 120 is significantly reducing incidents and accidents in high-complexity operations, establishing itself as a key tool for safety and productivity in the forestry sector.

The Tigercat 120 is already transforming the way we operate on extreme slopes. If you aim to maximize safety and efficiency, this technology is the key to the future of the forestry industry.
