CMPC Successfully Concludes Fourth Edition of the Supplier Strengthening Program

The closing ceremony of the fourth edition of the Supplier Strengthening Program was held at CMPC's corporate building in Los Ángeles. This initiative reaffirms the company's commitment to sustainable development and shared growth with the businesses that form part of its production chain.

This year, over 250 people from 127 companies participated in the program, strengthening their capabilities to compete in both national and international supply chains. Since its inception in 2021 as a pilot project with just 14 companies, the initiative has grown steadily, encompassing businesses from Chile, Argentina, Peru, Mexico, and Brazil.

"The goal has always been clear: to provide concrete tools so small and medium-sized businesses can develop, strengthen, and grow alongside us," said Santiago Marín, CMPC's Supplier Relationship Manager. "We want them to operate safely, sustainably, and with greater opportunities in different markets," he added.

An Expanding Network and Continuous Learning

Under a shared value creation model, CMPC has established a collaborative network with local suppliers in key areas such as Pulp and Biopackaging. The program includes structured work involving organizational diagnostics, training workshops, personalized mentoring, and a final impact assessment.

"When you put your heart into these kinds of projects, what you're doing is giving life to small businesses by providing them with real training and development strategies," said Héctor Ormeño, Director of Hor Capacitación, who has actively participated in the training process.

Testimonials of the Impact

Several companies highlighted the program's tangible contributions to their operations. Nadia Medina, Operations Sub-Manager at Siamec, noted that the experience was key to strengthening areas such as engineering, automation, and industrial maintenance in their services at the Santa Fe, Laja, and Pacífico plants.

From Primser, a company with over two decades of partnership with CMPC, Commercial Manager Benjamín Gajardo appreciated the knowledge update that allowed them to "review and reinforce tools in finance, marketing, and strategy—key elements for growth."

Expansion with a Regional Vision

Since its launch, the program has proven to be an effective tool for advancing toward more robust business management. For Fernando Hasenberg, CMPC's Administration and Finance Manager, the inclusion of new countries in this edition marks a milestone: "Expanding into Brazil is an important step that confirms the transformative potential of this initiative. This program fosters strong bonds and shared value with our suppliers across the continent."
