Among Pines and Roads: The Story of Nolberto Pardo, Forestry Driver
At Acoforag, we believe every forest story deserves to be told. Today, we want to highlight that of Nolberto Pardo, a forestry driver who, with humility and dedication, has made the steering wheel and the forest his way of life.
From very early on, Nolberto travels the rural roads of southern Chile, transporting pine and eucalyptus wood from forestry operations to storage centers and industrial plants. His work doesn’t just move logs—it connects territories, communities, and industries, serving as a key link in the forestry chain.
But for him, the forest goes beyond work. “It’s part of who you are,” he says with conviction. He sees it as a source of livelihood but also as an environment that deserves respect. “Every load we carry is the result of many people’s labor, but also of a natural resource we can’t take for granted.”
In times when sustainability is an urgent issue, stories like Nolberto’s remind us that the forest isn’t just about numbers or reports—it’s also about people, craftsmanship, and awareness.
From Acoforag, we will continue sharing these voices that bring life to the forestry sector and invite us to reflect on how we inhabit and care for our productive landscapes.
