Casablanca Firefighters Achieved Forest Accreditation
At the Municipal Theater of Casablanca, the patches and Forest Accreditation certificate were presented to the local Fire Department. The event was attended by Juan Carlos Field, National President of the Firefighters; along with José Molina, Regional President of Valparaíso, and Diego Caruezo, National Operational Focal Point (PFON).
The Operational Technical Group (GTO) is composed of firefighters from the four Companies of the commune. The group leader and Director of "Bomba Casablanca," Juan José Valladares, stated that he feels "proud of the accreditation we achieved." He also affirmed that "the last 4 years involved intense work that now leads us to be the FT2-09 of Chilean Firefighters."
Juan Carlos Field, National President, emphasized the importance of standardizing and systematizing procedures, as this "allows any firefighter in the country to share their knowledge." He added that for months, Fire Departments across the country have been accrediting themselves in different GTO groups.
Meanwhile, PFON Diego Caruezo revealed that for the National Operations System (SNO), "it is very convenient to deploy certified teams like these because they meet standards."
He also disclosed that this year, only accredited groups were mobilized for emergencies. "This path of standardization is the way forward for the future of Chilean Firefighters," he stated.
