Arson attack destroys forestry machinery in La Araucanía

In the early hours of this Saturday, a new arson attack was recorded in the La Araucanía Region, where a group of unknown individuals caused the burning of machinery used in forestry operations.
The incident occurred around 5:00 a.m. on route S-156, which connects Carahue with Imperial, near kilometer 7. At the scene, five pieces of equipment were consumed by the fire, including a trailer and a dining trailer, all belonging to the forestry company Territoria.
Following the emergency, the Prosecutor's Office arranged for specialized teams from Carabineros to attend the scene. Personnel from OS9, Labocar, and Public Order Control moved to the area to begin forensic examinations and gather evidence to identify those responsible.
Local authorities warned that this new attack adds to the series of rural violence incidents affecting the area, which have generated concern both in the forestry sector and in nearby communities.
