Carabineros Arrest 3 Subjects and Seize Truck with Wood and Pickup Truck
In a joint effort between territorial and specialized personnel from the Second Public Order Control Precinct (COP) of Pailahueque and the Sixth Precinct of Ercilla, they achieved the arrest of 3 subjects and the seizure of a truck with wood and a pickup truck. During the incident, the accused allegedly attempted to assault the police personnel and threatened them.
The procedure took place in recent hours when a driver, upon being inspected by Carabineros from the Sixth Precinct at the entrance to Pidima, became aggressive after being unable to justify the wooden logs he was transporting, assaulting the officers. Additionally, a group of subjects arrived at the scene in his support, prompting the police personnel to request backup from COP personnel.
SEIZURE
As a result, Carabineros from the Second Public Order Control Precinct (COP) "Pailahueque" immediately arrived, leading to the driver's arrest and the seizure of the vehicle with the wooden logs. Furthermore, thanks to support from the Malleco Camera Center, COP Carabineros, after conducting surveillance, managed to locate and seize a pickup truck and arrest a subject who had fled after arriving at the scene to assist the detained truck driver.
Finally, a third subject was arrested in the vicinity of the Sixth Precinct of Ercilla after being recognized by a Carabinero as the perpetrator of the crime of making death threats against police personnel.
COMMANDER
The commander of the Second COP Precinct "Pailahueque," Commander Daniel Romo, stated that "in recent hours, Carabineros from the Second COP Precinct of Pailahueque and the Sixth Precinct of Ercilla achieved the arrest of three subjects and the seizure of a wood load and two vehicles."
He added that while territorial personnel were conducting preventive work in Pidima, during the inspection of a three-quarter truck loaded with wood, "as there was no respective documentation to justify its origin, unknown subjects attempted to assault the police personnel, prompting them to request support from COP personnel, who quickly arrived at the scene providing coverage."
ARRESTS
He said that in this context, the driver of the vehicle was arrested, and subsequently, COP Carabineros managed to recover a Nissan D-21 model pickup truck that had allegedly participated in the procedure, arresting a second subject. "In the framework of this incident, a third arrest was made in the vicinity of the 6th Precinct of Ercilla for the crime of making death threats against Carabineros. The accused were placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor's Office," the officer stated.
It is worth mentioning that this procedure involved the deployment and aerial surveillance of the UAV Camcopter drone. Army personnel arrived at the scene to secure the route.
