For two decades, Trek Rental has built its prestige in the mining and heavy construction industry, participating in high-tonnage operations with mining standards, advanced telemetry, and on-site technical support. Today, the company opens a new chapter in its history by entering the forestry sector, a decision that reinforces its strategy of territorial expansion and productive diversification.
The commencement of operations in the southern zone —where the forestry industry is one of the main economic activities— solidifies Trek Rental as a player seeking to position itself in new markets while maintaining its hallmark of efficiency, safety, and quality service.
Growth Opportunity
Héctor García, Southern Zone Rental Executive, leads this new stage: "The forestry industry represents a real growth opportunity. We identified a high demand for reliable logistical solutions and robust technical support. It's not just about renting machinery, but about supporting complex operations, just as we do in mining."
García explains that the forestry environment demands adaptation, agility, and proximity, as work is carried out on irregular and changing terrain. To meet these challenges, Trek Rental has incorporated specialized equipment, such as the John Deere 2154G, Caterpillar 548, and Komatsu PC210LL with Waratah 622 head, as well as John Deere 648L II Skidders, all with high safety standards, reinforced cabins, and monitoring technology.
"Our goal is to replicate in the forestry sector the standard that made us strong in mining: operational safety, technical support, and total availability," emphasizes García.
The company also implements advanced telemetry, preventive maintenance, and mobile crews to ensure operational continuity. This vision aims for southern clients to experience the same reliability that characterizes Trek Rental in the north.
Long-term Strategy
More than a one-off project, the foray into the forestry sector is part of a long-term strategy aimed at strengthening local alliances, generating employment, and contributing to regional development.
"We want to be a strategic ally for forestry companies, not just a supplier. Our experience in demanding sectors allows us to anticipate needs and offer high-value solutions," concludes García.
With its entry into the forestry sector, Trek Rental reaffirms its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and the country's productive growth.
