The National Forestry Corporation announced that Aída Baldini Urrutia assumed the role of executive director (i) of Conaf today. She brings a long trajectory and 34 years of institutional experience.

A forestry engineer from the Austral University of Valdivia, Baldini has held various positions within the Corporation, including executive director (2024-2025), manager of Forest Fire Protection (2018-2022), Forestry Manager (2010-2014), and other significant institutional responsibilities.

Throughout her professional career, she has received various recognitions, notably from the University of Chile as one of six leading women in the Chilean forestry sector (2012), from Universidad Mayor as "Entrepreneurial Spirit Professor" (2016), and from the Chilean Wood Corporation (Corma) as "Women Who Inspire: Leadership Stories in the Forestry Industry" (2024).

Director Aída Baldini sends a warm greeting to all Conaf workers and assumes this high responsibility with the firm commitment to work towards recovering the spirit of camaraderie and, primarily, for respect among those who make up this work community, along with promoting the strengthening of our country's renewable natural resources.

In June of last year, Baldini voluntarily resigned amidst complaints by union leaders under the Karin Law, which prompted an indefinite strike.

Through a press release, the previous government thanked Baldini for her management, detailing that the position would be assumed on an interim basis by Rodrigo Illesca Rojas, who served as the institution's deputy director.
