A man was arrested for land encroachment in Curanilahue. The accused had built a dwelling on the private property where he also maintained sawmill operations.

Banks, sawmills, shipyards, and trucks are among the items seized on the property belonging to Forestal Arauco, located in the La Colcha sector of that commune.

Through the use of a drone, the presence of individuals performing tasks of handling and moving processed lumber inside the premises was confirmed, leading to the arrest of a man for the unauthorized use of the land, where he even had a residence. This was stated by Lieutenant Juan Gallardo of the Fourth Police Station of Curanilahue.

The Provincial Delegate of Arauco, Pedro Marileo, provided more details regarding the seized items, condemned the events, and called for reporting this type of crime.

As such, the man arrested in flagrante delicto for non-violent property encroachment was placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor's Office.
