Gabriel Valenzuela Valenzuela has assumed the role of new executive director of the Forestry Institute (Infor), beginning a new phase focused on institutional strengthening and the projection of the technical and territorial work that the institution carries out nationwide.

The Minister of Agriculture, Jaime Campos, highlighted his incorporation into Infor's executive direction, emphasizing his experience in management and institutional coordination. "Gabriel has a track record linked to strengthening organizations and collaborative work, elements that will be important to continue projecting the contribution that Infor makes to the forestry sector and the country through research, innovation, and its presence in the territories," he stated.

The new director holds a master's degree and specialization in people management and leadership, and has experience in strategic direction and management in the field of natural resources, standing out for his work in organizational strengthening, coordination of multidisciplinary teams, and development of initiatives with impact in the territories.

Part of his professional career was developed at the Center for Natural Resources Information (Ciren), where he assumed responsibilities in key areas, contributing to strengthening institutional management and decision-making support processes in the public sector.

Throughout his career, he has promoted collaborative work spaces and organizational improvements, fostering management focused on people, goal achievement, and the strengthening of institutional capacities.

Likewise, he has worked on coordination with various public and territorial actors, promoting initiatives aimed at comprehensive development and the strengthening of organizations linked to the field of natural resources.

At Infor, his experience and management approach seek to contribute to strengthening the work that the institution carries out in research, innovation, and knowledge generation for the forestry sector, in a context where the institute recently celebrated 65 years of trajectory contributing to the country's development.
