Weichan Auka Mapu Claims Attack That Left Two Trucks and a Machine Destroyed in Vilcún

At least two trucks and a machine were destroyed in an arson attack in Vilcún,La Araucanía region, which was claimed by the ORT Weichan Auka Mapu.

According to information from Radio Bío Bío, the incident took place at a forestry operation in the Santa Teresa Estate.

In turn, the radical organization Weichan Auka Mapu supports Luis Tranamil,declared guilty for the homicide of Carabinero Eugenio Nain, and Eric Montoya, among other community members.

Additionally, a banner was found at the scene of the arson attack, with one slogan stating, "forestry companies out of Mapuche territory."

Carabineros personnel arrived at the scene to gather initial information.

Meanwhile, the First Investigations and High Complexity Prosecutor's Office assigned thePDIto conduct the respective forensic examinations.

This is aimed at identifying those responsible for the arson attack at a forestry operation in Vilcún.
