Over 90 workers left jobless after closure of Arauco's Horcones 2 sawmill

The company Arauco confirmed the closure of the Horcones 2 sawmill, located within the Horcones industrial forestry complex in the commune of Arauco, in the Bío Bío region.

Despite various efforts to continue operations and prevent work stoppages, nearly 90 workers will lose their jobs.

Among the reasons that led to the closure of Horcones 2 are various factors, primarily market-related, including low demand, low prices, and supply difficulties.
