Senate Chamber Approves New Extension of State of Emergency in the Southern Macrozone

This Wednesday, the Chamber of theSenateapproved a new extension of the Constitutional State of Emergency in the Southern Macrozone.

It should be noted that, specifically, the measure covers the region of La Araucanía and the provinces of Bío Bío and Arauco in the Bío Bío region.

Specifically, the extension of the State of Emergency was greenlit with 38 votes in favor, one against, and four abstentions.

Furthermore, this is the 27th extension applied in the area for 15 days.

Regarding the vote against the extension of the Constitutional State of Emergency in the Southern Macrozone, it was cast by Senator Fabiola Campillai.
