Two shot during arson attack in Angol: Home and vehicles burned
Two individuals, a woman and a man of undetermined ages,were shot during an arson attack on a private property in Angol.
The incident occurred during the early hours in the Colonia Manuel Rodríguez sector of the commune, located in the La Araucanía region.The attack also resulted in the destruction of a home and two vehicles.
Authorities reported a large-scale police operation following the incident,as well as confirming that the two injured individuals are being treated at Angol Hospital, with the extent of their injuries still unknown.
Commander César Leiva of the Malleco Prefecture detailed that the attack was carried out by a group of armed individuals, who set fire to a house and two vehicles after intimidating the owners and forcing them out, leaving them injured.
Similarly, they explained that the incident occurred specifically at the San Sebastián estate, and that Carabineros provided first aid upon arrival, with COP personnel escorting the ambulances to Angol Hospital.
