The men were caught in the act by Carabineros personnel in the property known as Playa Blanca, owned by Forestal Arauco.

The OS-9 of Carabineros arrested four individuals for timber theft in a forest property located in the commune of Lota, Bío Bío region.

The men were caught in the act by Carabineros personnel for the crime of timber theft, committed in the property known as Playa Blanca, owned by Forestal Arauco.

Captain Elizabeth Ibacache, head of OS-9 Bío Bío, while reporting on the operation, stated that this action responds to commitments made regarding security.

This follows the regional sessions on organized crime, where it was agreed to carry out operations in areas susceptible to such crimes.

Additionally, two pickup trucks not reported as stolen, two chainsaws, and chopped eucalyptus were seized at the scene.

The detainees were identified by their initials: J.L.M.M., 57 years old; J.A.A.C., 39; C.A.F.G., 38; and C.G.L.P., 24.

The last three have police records for crimes ranging from threats against people, injuries, surprise theft, to theft in uninhabited places.

All were placed at the disposal of the Lota Guarantee Court for formal charges.
