A Forestal Arauco brigade working to extinguish a fire in Curanilahue, in the Bío Bío region, was assaulted and threatened by an armed, hooded individual.

According to preliminary information, this occurred in the early morning, around 02:30 hours, in the Los Ríos Reserve, near the urban area of the commune, when an individual approached the brigade members and threatened them with a firearm.

Through intimidation, he demanded they leave the area and stole a chainsaw from them.
