Powerful Conservation Program Aims to Protect 7 Threatened Species
In a major effort to conserve biodiversity and protect native species, CMPC is implementing an environmental strategy that focuses, among its most relevant points, on preserving species extinct in their place of origin or at risk of disappearing. Specifically, in July of last year, the company's president, Luis Felipe Gazitúa, publicly presented the Nature, Conservation, and Biodiversity Strategy, a document based on four pillars: Biodiversity, ecosystem services, nature-based solutions, and territoriality, prioritizing actions to mitigate negative pressures, enhance the value of conservation areas, and highlight their synergistic relationship with plantations.
