5 People Caught Stealing Wood in Penco and Tomé Arrested

A recent operation carried out by O.S.9 personnel in the communes of Penco and Tomé resulted in the arrest of five individuals involved in the theft of wood.
These actions are part of the ongoing effort against organized crime in the region. The individuals were caught cutting eucalyptus wood in forested properties.
During the inspection of the vehicles used for the crime, various weapons were seized, including a shotgun with four unfired cartridges and several bladed weapons.
The detainees, identified as P.A.M.L (18 years old), M.A.C.C (21 years old), C.A.O.J (27 years old), M.M.M.I (56 years old), and J.R.L.I (53 years old), have criminal records for various offenses, such as simple threats, threats with a bladed weapon, disorderly conduct, property damage, and brawls.
Additionally, the operation led to the seizure of a double-barreled shotgun without a serial number, four 12-gauge cartridges, three kitchen knives, three handmade machetes, a handmade spear, a handmade rapier, two pickup trucks, two chainsaws, and 3.5 cubic meters of eucalyptus, valued at one million pesos, among other items.
The detainees were handed over to the Public Prosecutor's Office for further detention review in the corresponding Guarantee Court.
