New arson attack destroys truck in Padre las Casas

A truck was consumed by flames in a violent fire reported in the early hours of this Friday at kilometer 20 of the route to Huichahue, in Padre las Casas, La Araucanía region. Three companies from the Temuco Fire Department responded to the emergency, working under the protection of Carabineros due to the possibility of another arson attack.
The incident occurs amid a context of violence that has affected the region, with similar incidents in Collipulli, where two trucks were also destroyed. So far, no organization has claimed responsibility for the attack. However, the Prosecutor's Office has mobilized personnel from the Criminalistics Laboratory to determine the origin of the fire and clarify the facts.
At the close of this edition, Radio Bío Bío reported that the ORT of the Arauco Malleco Coordinator (CAM) has claimed responsibility for this attack, adding another chapter to the series of incidents that have shaken the La Araucanía region.
