A well-known businessman from Coelemu denounced that due to bureaucracy and what he believes to be retaliatory motives, the municipality has prevented him from renewing his commercial license. Facing the threat of closure for lacking the license, the owner of the prominent Forestal León is considering moving the company's headquarters to another district.

Antonio Viñuela, owner of Forestal León, personally recounted the dramatic situation he is facing due to the inability to obtain the commercial license required for his company to operate normally. The businessman stated that the problem stems partly from the bureaucracy of the Coelemu Municipality, though he also suspects possible resentment from the office due to criticisms he has raised about the municipal corporation's sluggishness.

To avoid disrupting Forestal León's operations and the livelihoods of the company's thousand direct and indirect employees, he is now evaluating relocating the headquarters and paying the commercial license fees in another district.

Councilwoman Carmen Gutiérrez has witnessed what she described as municipal ping-pong tactics to delay issuing the license to the businessman. She lamented that if the company relocates its headquarters, the municipality would lose out on millions in revenue.

Antonio Viñuela stated that the decision on which district to move the forestry company's headquarters to has not yet been made but confirmed it would likely be within the Itata Province.
